Position Description: Job duties include providing onsite and VRI ASL Interpretation services for deaf employees of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at the St. Paul District Headquarters. Meetings and events will occur during the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Interpreters will be notified of upcoming meetings no less than four days before the meeting or event date. Interpreters will work in a 1099 Independent Contractor status and will be paid between $60 - 70 hourly, depending on the type of services provided. Event Types: Staff meetings Commemorative programs Award ceremonies Safety talks / training Discussions on work procedures, policies, or assignments for formal and informal settings Quarterly performance discussions Annual performance appraisals Disciplinary discussions Basic staff training / classroom training Interviews All hands meetings Other AD-HOC assignments similar in nature on an as needed basis Required Qualifications: Current NIC Certification Over the age of 18 and legally authorized to work in the United States Possess reliable transportation to the service location and/or Computer with Internet connection
