About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our growing team in Kolkata.

You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our cutting-edge fintech products by developing and executing comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and cases.

This position demands a strong understanding of various testing methodologies, automation tools, and a passion for delivering high-quality software.

Work Model : Work from office

Location : Kolkata

Experience : 2-4 years (Minimum 2 years of experience is mandatory)

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed test plans, scenarios, and cases based on business, user, and functional/non-functional requirements.
• Utilize JIRA for project planning, task management, bug tracking, and reporting.
• Collaborate regularly with Leads, Developers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and efficient testing processes.
• Design and execute automated tests using user-level test automation tools and/or behavior-driven test scenarios (BDD).
• Perform API testing and automation, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
• Validate and document testing completion, ensuring compliance with established quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Proactively identify, analyze, and report software defects, providing clear and concise information for developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by actively participating in knowledge sharing, code reviews, and process optimization initiatives.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and industry best practices.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in functionality/systems testing (2+ years mandatory).
• Strong SQL skills for data creation, update, and deletion, including complex queries and data validation.
• Hands-on experience with C++ and front-end and back-end testing automation.
• Demonstrated experience in API testing and automation using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
• Solid understanding of underlying web technologies : REST APIs, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  
  

Proficiency With

• Agile work planning tools (JIRA or similar)
• Source-control change management software (GIT or similar)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
