Network/Systems Administrator

Qualifications:

• 3–10 years of relevant experience in system/network administration
• 3–5 years of mid-level system administration experience
• Strong understanding of networking (routers, switches, firewalls)
• Proficiency in Windows & Linux platforms
• Familiarity with PKI certificates, SSL Web Server/Client certificates
• Experience with system patching and updates
• Basic software development/testing skills (Cypress, Jest)

Desired Skills:

• Prior military experience (IT/System Admin roles)
• Kubernetes experience
• Tier 2 IT Help Desk experience

Desired Certifications:

1. CompTIA Security+, A+, Network+, Data+
2. Linux Professional Institute (LPI), Active Directory, Hypervisors (Hyper-V, VMware)

Education REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer or Information Science / related (Years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree 6 years for bachelors, 4 for associates)

Responsibilities:

Network & Systems Administration:

• Install, configure, and maintain LAN, data communications network, servers (physical & virtual)
• Manage IT infrastructure across Windows and Linux platforms
• Monitor system integrity, availability, and hardware/network resources
• Review logs and ensure completion of scheduled tasks (e.g., backups)

Active Directory & User Management:

• Manage and maintain Windows Active Directory environment and policies
• Analyze network/server resource consumption and control user access

Software & System Maintenance:

• Install/upgrade software and manage licenses
• Perform system updates, patching, and security measures
• Participate in light software development and testing (e.g., Cypress, Jest)

Cybersecurity:

• Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures for data and system protection
• Collaboration & Troubleshooting:
• Collaborate with IT team to resolve system issues
• Develop and maintain system documentation for operations and troubleshooting
