Summary

Job Description The candidate of the Network Systems Engineer will be responsible for networking technical services in the area of Voice, Video and other collaboration solutions. His / Her services would include presale activities, solution design, installation & configuration support, and day 2 proactive services for medium and large size enterprise customers. The role would require specialization in Cisco / AVAYA solutions and other collaboration vendors’ technologies. The Network System Engineer will interact with customers’ stakeholders (i.e. Consultants, Contractors, customer’s ICT team) on a frequent basis, and will be working within internal cross-functional team including project manager and account team member. Flexibility in working hours as some project may require after hours work. Ready to work in a fast paced, dynamically changing environment to help CitiFour build and deliver new solutions and take on cross-architecture customer engineering projects. Validate project requirements from customers, define project scope, prepare CRD, develop project schedules and produce detailed Networking & Communication designs for assigned projects. Lead solution design workshops and conduct required technical meetings for various project stakeholders leveraging his / her experience in implementing a UC/UCCE network, given a design document and customer requirements. Create customers’ deliverable documentations including High Level Designs, Low Level Designs, testing & commissioning plans for the entire collaboration portfolio. Prepare Bill of material for Networking & Collaboration solutions for various size deployments so as to ensure that the customer needs and the solution confirms to all technicalities. Ability to troubleshoot implementation problems during migrations. Assists customer with deployment of related NW tools that support a customer and related Network Management Systems. Plans and coordinates the implementation of network technologies in support of defined requirements generated by internal customers and growth demands. Ability to grasp complex design concepts quickly and be able to provide the right solutions to the clients. Performs analysis and diagnosis of complex networking & Voice problems. Builds simulated networks in test labs to resolve highly complex problems and compatibility issues. Generates network configurations for highly complex networks. Plans and executes complex network & voice upgrade and migration activity. Thorough understanding and deep dive into the technical architecture of all collaboration solutions. Work closely with the the Account team to provide pre-sales and deep technical inputs. Prepare model RFP’s and response to customer RFP’s Prepare Bill of material for networking solutions for medium and large deployments so as to ensure that the customer needs and the solution confirms to all technicalities. Understand competitor’s offerings and provide inputs to the sales team on product positioning and differentiation. Handle post sales escalation and resolve the same by coordinating and working with all internal and external stakeholders. Ensure customer satisfaction by working closely with customers and making recommendations and implementing the same. Skills Requires BS /BE /B. Tech degree or equivalent 5 years of related work experience in IT industry. Strong business acumen and presentation Skills. Exposure to project management is preferred. Experience in dealing with MEP & ELV consultants, contractors is preferred. Ability to solve problems with innovative ideas. Assume complete ownership with regards to the engagement with client and stakeholders. Planning and design experience include working directly with the customers, account teams and business units to build Customer Requirements Documents (CRDs) and high & Low -level designs (HLDs / LLDs). Demonstrated experience working with minimal direct supervision. Deep expertise in two or more other technology domains (Unified communication, data center, Microsoft OS / applications / middleware). Fluency in soundness disciplines (availability, security, etc.) and operational disciplines (systems management, change management, etc.). Proven track record in an industry or horizontal solutions area. Minimum of CCNP in R&S, Voice skills level required. Plan on achieving a CCIE R&S, Voice certification is desired. Preferably other vendors’ certifications (i.e. AVAYA, ALCATEL, MSFT). A minimum of 7 years of experience in Cisco Voice technologies – Call Manager (CUCM), Contact Center Enterprise (CME / CUE), Unity Connection, Unified Presence, SME, IOS GW & GK configurations A strong knowledge of IP Telephony protocols like SIP, H323, MGCP, RTP, RTCP, VXML, and different Codecs. A strong knowledge in the following areas: Video Conferencing, Call Control, Multimedia Contact Centers, Call Scripts, and IVR Scripts. Strong understanding of Enterprise Network/Data Center Solutions, IP networking, Switching and routing.
