Our client is seeking a Network Vulnerability Analyst to join their team. As a Network Vulnerability Analyst, you will be part of the security team supporting various initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Network Vulnerability Analyst
**Location:** Washington, District of Columbia
**Pay Range:** $42.00 per hour
**What's the Job?**
+ Operate and manage vulnerability scanning tools (Rapid7, Qualys, etc.) to ensure comprehensive coverage across servers, endpoints, cloud environments, and network infrastructure.
+ Lead the vulnerability management lifecycle-from discovery, validation, and analysis to remediation tracking and reporting.
+ Review and triage vulnerability findings based on exploitability, CVSS scoring, asset criticality, and business impact.
+ Collaborate with IT, cloud, endpoint, and infrastructure teams to ensure timely patching and remediation of vulnerabilities.
+ Generate and deliver clear, actionable reports for both technical stakeholders and business leaders, including trending metrics, SLAs, and risk summaries.
**What's Needed?**
+ 5+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 2-3 years focused on cybersecurity or vulnerability management.
+ Proficiency with one or more enterprise-grade vulnerability management tools (e.g., Rapid7 InsightVM, Qualys, Tenable).
+ Deep understanding of the vulnerability lifecycle, including scanning methodologies, validation, remediation, and risk reporting.
+ Strong grasp of CVSS scoring and real-world exploitability indicators.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills-able to articulate technical risk clearly to engineers, project managers, and executive leadership.
