Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Field Network Technician to support onsite LAN/WLAN installations and upgrades. This hands-on role involves configuring and deploying network hardware, performing wireless surveys, and ensuring structured cabling and equipment are installed and tested to industry standards.

- Basic knowledge of wired and wireless networking (LAN/WLAN)
- Experience installing and replacing switches & APs (Cisco preferred)
- Basic IP addressing, VLAN understanding, and device ping/troubleshooting
Wireless Deployment
- Experience in physical wireless surveys using tools like Ekahau Sidekick
- AP mounting and alignment in high-ceiling environments
- Awareness of RF interference and placement best practices
Cabling & Electrical
- Structured cabling (copper & fiber) handling
- Cabling layout understanding (IDFs, MDFs)
- Basic cable dressing & labeling skills
- Familiarity with cabling test tools (e.g., Fluke, NetAlly)
Tools Handling
- Must be able to operate and carry:
→ Ethernet cable testers
→ Laptop with console cable
→ Wireless survey device (Sidekick or AirCheck)
→ Labeling machine
→ Basic hand tools
→ Lifts (with proper training)
Documentation & Reporting
- Ability to take photos of installations
- Maintain daily activity reports
- Log serial numbers, switchport/AP mappings, and connectivity status
Soft Skills
- Strong communication (to coordinate with PMs and remote NOC teams)
- Basic troubleshooting mindset
- Ability to follow SOPs, runbooks, and escalation processes
Physical Fitness
- Comfortable working at heights
- Can lift/install devices safely
- Willingness to travel between sites as required
