Our Network Operations Team seeking a technician to assist with monitoring the of UCS statewide networks and systems to ensure optimal uptime. Understanding of network concepts such as routing, subnetting and LAN/WAN topology is required. The successful applicant should be able to troubleshoot networking, application, and infrastructure alarms using data from Solarwinds, Zabbix, Cacti, and Grafana. They should have a basic understanding of scripting using PowerShell, bash, and SQL. The position is in-person and may require occasional off-hours work.

This position will be filled based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidates in one of the following titles:

NETWORK SYSTEM TECHNICIAN III : Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of related technical experience in a help desk or technical environment; or An equivalent combination of education and related technical experience in a help desk or technical environment. Salary: $76,112

NETWORK SYSTEM TECHNICIAN II: Associate's degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of related technical experience in a help desk or technical environment; or An equivalent combination of education and related technical experience in a help desk or technical environment. Salary: $63,083

NETWORK/SYSTEM TECHNICIAN I: Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science; or An equivalent combination of education and related technical experience in a help desk or technical environment. Salary: $58,100
