Job Description
Job Title: Presales Network Specialist (core IP Network)
Experience: Minimum of 5+ years with a large IT organization as Presales Network Specialist
Technologies: Network solutions design for complex environments (e.g. Layered architecture, DCI, SDN etc.), with experience in Huawei, Juniper, Cisco, Fortinet, Sangfor, H3C platforms
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering + Professional or preferably Expert Level Presales IP Network Certifications (e.g. HCSA Presales IP Network, HCSP Presales IP Network), etc.)

Job Summary/Objective:
As a Presales Network Specialist, you will collaborate with the sales team to design and propose advanced networking solutions that meet customer-specific requirements. This role demands a deep technical understanding of networking technologies such as routing, switching, security, and communication systems, as well as a strategic, customer-centric approach to provide scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.
The Presales Network Specialist will work closely with Key Account Managers to understand and resolve customer challenges, participate in architectural sessions, and create detailed designs and proposals for Data Center, Routing & Campus Networks, and Security solutions. You will ensure that the network infrastructure is robust, reliable, and aligned with business goals, while optimizing performance and integrating new technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
§ Design and propose network solutions covering routing, switching, security, and wireless technologies, tailored to meet customer needs and business objectives.
§ Architect, design, and propose Data Center, Routing & Campus Networks, and security solutions to generate new or additional sales opportunities.
§ Leverage hands-on experience with OEM specific configurators to generate BoQs and to perform Proof of Concept (POC) projects, initial network deployments, and product demonstrations, utilizing state-of-the-art products and features.
§ Create and deliver technical proposals, including designs, bill of materials, scope of work, schedules, and project timelines.
§ Conduct whiteboard sessions and network architecture presentations to communicate technical solutions clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.
§ Develop network security policies, access controls, and compliance strategies, including encryption methods and intrusion detection systems.
§ Provide guidance and recommendations to customers regarding improvements to their existing networks, ensuring optimal performance and security.
§ Lead technical responses to RFP/RFQs, gathering customer requirements, analyzing needs, and proposing relevant technical solutions.
§ Work with external suppliers and vendors to ensure that networking products and services meet the organization’s standards and requirements.
§ Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, providing input into the organization’s long-term network strategy and roadmap.
§ Manage customer relationships by ensuring successful network design, deployment, and support, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Required Skills & Experience:
§ Strong knowledge of network hardware and solutions, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers from Huawei, Juniper, Cisco, Fortinet, Sangfor, H3C.
§ Hands-on experience in usage of OEM specific configurators for designing and implementing Data Center, Routing, and Campus Networks, with an understanding of network security and performance optimization.
§ Expertise in network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, and access control policies.
§ Proficiency in preparing technical documentation, including design guidelines, bills of materials, and project timelines.
§ Ability to analyze customer needs and propose appropriate technology solutions to address business requirements.
§ Excellent presentation and communication skills, capable of delivering complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders (Public or Private C-Suite).
§ Ability to manage customer accounts, providing ongoing support and ensuring customer satisfaction.
§ Must have personal transport for client visits and meetings.
Certifications:
While all of these certifications are not required simultaneously for the job, at least one or more related certification/s within the Presales Network Domain will automatically qualify prospective candidates for the pre-screening phase of the hiring process. Verifiable certificates produced during the hiring process will swiftly demonstrate the depth of knowledge and will be given preference.
