Job Overview:


We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer - WAF to join our team at Essen Vision Software. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions, particularly Imperva, and a strong understanding of network security concepts. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing WAF solutions to protect web applications from security threats, ensuring compliance with security best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy, configure, and manage Web Application Firewalls (WAF), with expertise in Imperva.
  
• Monitor and analyze web traffic to identify and mitigate security threats such as DDoS attacks, SQL injections, XSS, and other vulnerabilities.
  
• Develop and implement security policies, rules, and configurations to enhance web application security.
  
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate WAF solutions into the existing security infrastructure.
  
• Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration testing to ensure optimal WAF performance.
  
• Stay updated with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices.
  
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for WAF-related issues.
  
• Document processes, security incidents, and resolution steps for future reference.
  
• Ensure compliance with industry security standards and organizational policies.
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 2 to 8 years of experience in Network Security with expertise in WAF (Web Application Firewall), specifically Imperva.
  
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, and DNS.
  
• Hands-on experience in WAF rule writing, security policy enforcement, and threat mitigation.
  
• Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards such as OWASP, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, etc.
  
• Experience in incident response, threat analysis, and risk assessment.
  
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) is a plus.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle security incidents effectively.
  
• Good communication skills to collaborate with internal and external teams.
