Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Network Engineer located in Mumbai. The Network Engineer will be responsible for managing network infrastructure, performing regular network maintenance, troubleshooting network issues, and ensuring network security. The role involves designing network solutions to enhance performance and reliability, implementing network configurations, and monitoring network performance to ensure optimal operation.

Key Skills & Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain Palo Alto firewalls and security appliances.
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize network performance and security across LAN/WAN environments.
• Manage and troubleshoot firewall rules, NAT policies, VPNs (IPSec/SSL), and security policies.
• Conduct periodic network assessments and implement improvements or remediations.
• Work on network segmentation and Zero Trust architecture initiatives.
• Perform root cause analysis on network issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with IT, security, and infrastructure teams to support business and project goals.
• Maintain network documentation including diagrams, change logs, and configurations.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging threats relevant to enterprise networks.

Key Skills & Responsibilities

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3–4 years of experience in network engineering roles, including at least 2 years with Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPN, DHCP, DNS, etc.).
• Proficiency with Palo Alto Panorama, firewall rule management, and policy optimization.
• Experience in managing and troubleshooting VPNs, NAT, and advanced security services.
• Familiarity with other network devices (Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, etc.) is a plus.
• Understanding of network security principles and practices.
• Industry certifications such as PCNSA, PCNSE, CCNA/CCNP are highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
