Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Network Engineer with strong experience in managing enterprise networks, including WatchGuard firewalls, routers, and switches. This role involves the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure, high-performance network infrastructure across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure using routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Install, configure, and manage WatchGuard Firebox appliances, including security policies, VPN tunnels, and web filtering.
• Monitor and optimize network performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Perform regular network maintenance, firmware updates, and patch management.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues involving routing, switching, and firewall rules.
• Configure and support VPNs (site-to-site and remote access).
• Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
• Maintain detailed documentation for network topology, configurations, and procedures.
• Provide technical support for escalated networking issues and outages.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of experience in network engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with WatchGuard firewalls.
• Proven experience configuring and troubleshooting routers and switches (Cisco, HP, Juniper, etc.).
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, NAT, and ACLs.
• Experience with IPSec, SSL VPN, and remote access solutions.
• Working knowledge of network monitoring tools and logging systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• WatchGuard Certified Network Security Professional (WCNSP) or other relevant certifications.
• CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent certifications.
• Experience with network automation or scripting (PowerShell, Python).
• Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working across teams.
