For our newly formed Cloud First Networks (CFN) business unit of we are looking for new talent to complement our team. Our existing 8,000+ team of strong Network Professionals combine deep business insight and technology supporting CSPs (Communication Service Providers); Technology and Hyperscale clients to deploy, transform; scale and operate their networks. WORK YOU’LL DO
As a Network Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the maximum possible service
availability and performance for clients by managing and maintaining the network providing. You will be collaborating with other team members to sustain network solutions in a cross-functional environment which combines interoperable systems, applications and platforms.
Responsibilities:
Day-to-day network performance monitoring and ensure stable and reliable network services
Network troubleshooting and fault analysis
Trouble ticket generation and response
Perform configuration changes via change control systems and processes
Maintain the network monitoring, analysis and reporting tools.
Coordination of problem solving and maintenance with vendors, suppliers, manufacturers, but also other telecommunication providers
Implement/Adhere to Network Security Procedures
WHO WE´RE LOOKING FOR?
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecoms or equivalent field
Experience of working on network equipment in a large NOC or other company associated with networking
Basic understanding of the following technologies: IP Protocols (ICMP, UDP, TCP); IP filtering and firewalling; Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS); Quality of Service; MPLS; Ethernet (STP, RSTP, .1q VLANs, QinQ).
Experience with SDN technologies and principles (e.g. SD-WAN, SDDC).
Familiar working in a Data Center environment.
Certification in industry certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent Knowledge) will be considered as a plus
Able to analyze problems and conduct effective fault diagnosis and system recovery.
Good verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English.
Capable of prioritizing and managing own workload.
Self-motivated.
Capable of working/using own initiative with minimal supervision.
Keen to contribute ideas, share knowledge and help others develop.
Interest in leading edge technologies. Keen to develop own skills and knowledge.
Ability to communicate, understand and effectively work with our Clients to articulate their requirements and challenges
