As a DV Cleared NOC Engineer, you are responsible for maintaining and supporting secure, mission-critical network infrastructure. Operating within a highly secure environment, you will monitor and manage core networks, respond to incidents, and ensure operational continuity in line with strict security and compliance standards.
This role requires active Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance due to the highly sensitive nature of the systems you will support.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage secure LAN/WAN networks and services within classified environments, ensuring uptime, performance, and integrity.
- Conduct incident triage, fault diagnosis, and resolution at 1st and 2nd line levels, escalating where necessary to senior engineers or vendors.
- Apply configuration changes, security patches, and software updates in accordance with change control policies and customer authorisations.
- Analyse and interpret design documents, configuration guides, and secure baseline standards to validate device and system performance.
- Maintain vendor specialisations and accreditations as directed by management, ensuring exams are completed within the timescales given.
- Accurately record activities and project completion documentation, ensuring these are clearly written using the relevant documentation and tools.
- Follow operational runbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support classified infrastructure operations.
- Work closely with project teams to support the rollout, validation, and ongoing maintenance of classified systems and solutions.
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives, especially those impacting availability, integrity, and security of systems under DV control.
Requirements
Security Clearance
- Mandatory: Active Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years working in a NOC or secure technical support environment, ideally within defence or intelligence sectors.
- Proven experience with Cisco, network infrastructure, collaboration, SDWAN and security.
- Familiarity with secure asset handling, air-gapped environments, and working under strict operational security (OpSec) guidelines.
