Required Technical Skill Set**
- Strong technical delivery & system integration experience (preferably in Telecom OSS/Network domain)
- Strong 3rd party vendor management skills (Telecom product vendors like Nokia, Ciena, Cisco, Vmware etc.) as well as IT service providers like TCS, TechM, WIPRO Ricoh, NCC, Bell etc.
- Experience in Network infrastructure upgrade, replatforming, transformation, migration, connectivity setup, end to end alarm management
- Ability to gather the requirements and with required clarification progress through design development followed by troubleshooting
- Strong communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage dependencies, risks and holding suppliers / vendors to account.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity at the workplace.
- Formal Project Management qualification (e.g. Prince2, PMP)
Role:
- The role of the OSS Technical Delivery Manager is to set up and manage multiple end-to-end projects simultaneously.
- Ensuring the benefits and outcomes of the projects are defined and delivered whilst effectively controlling scope, dependencies, risks and issues.
- The OSS Technical Delivery Manager will enable the projects to be delivered on-time, within budget and with quality
- Managing the matrix of teams across the business.
- Key contacts will be the business representatives and sponsors, technical architects, domain SMEs and key members of operational/business teams that are supporting projects.
- Creating effective project plans and subsequently monitoring progress to ensure project milestones are met and managing change requests
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project, identifying blockers, facilitating decision-making and ensuring good problem solving
- Report regularly to management on project progress through an effective Steering Group
- Close the project - including evaluating successes and challenges to enhance learning for future project
