Summary

Position Summary The Network Infrastructure Technician is responsible for installation, removal, rearranging, testing, troubleshooting and maintaining of network services on the MWFN fiber network. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, has high attention to detail and is comfortable working independently. This role will be covering our network in the IL region. Job Responsibilities * Installation of complex network hardware * Complete performance testing and setup of installed services * Provide prompt response to network issues; conducting preventive network repair * Maintain backhaul network; repairing network outages * Work with high voltage AC and DC electrical systems * Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, replace, and upgrade components * Document resolutions/technical information in a central location * Perform daily checks to ensure system availability * Travel to work sites * Other duties as assigned Education/Experience/Qualifications * High school diploma required, college or military preferred * Strong analytical, creative problem-solving and troubleshooting skills * Interacts with customers in a professional, courteous manner including when responding to escalations and repeat customer concern * Motivated, curious and independent learner with a strong sense of ownership and accountability * Ability to work effectively with aggressive deadline requirements * Proficiency with Excel, also required are Word, Visio, Google Earth * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Some travel required. This role will be responsible for serving a broad geographical area * Ability to work hours outside of normal schedule with little or no advance notification required The position of Network Infrastructure Technician at MWFN requires the ability to work at remote client sites. This position works under moderate supervision, supports moderately complex networks, and provides assistance in network implementation.
