The City of Tallahassee's Technology & Innovation Department is hiring a Network Infrastructure Engineer. If you have experience in computer science or information technology and a passion for cutting-edge network solutions, we want to hear from you! In this role, you will be installing and configuring network hardware, managing firewalls throughout the enterprise and troubleshooting multiple layers across the stack.
Experience Level: 3+ years
Salary Range: $24.18 to $44.84/hourly, depending on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
This position involves advanced technical work supporting the City’s network infrastructure, including the installation, configuration and security of LAN/WAN systems. The role includes monitoring performance, analyzing vulnerabilities and recommending hardware, software and policy improvements. The incumbent works independently, provides technical guidance to staff and may lead network-related projects.

Qualifications
· Possession of a bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science or a related field.
· Three years of professional and technical experience that includes installation and maintenance of network systems firewalls, network design, Internet and Intranet and wireless support.
· Or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
