Job Title: Network & Infrastructure Deployment Engineer (Juniper & Monitoring Solutions)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly capable Deployment Engineer to support the delivery of a multi-phase infrastructure programme involving Juniper network technologies and SolarWinds monitoring solutions. The role involves the full lifecycle of deployment—from low-level design through build, deployment, testing, and security alignment—with a focus on timely, quality-driven execution in a secure customer environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Juniper Network Infrastructure:
- Produce and refine Low-Level Designs (LLDs) for core network deployment
- Create and maintain detailed build guides and service work instructions
- Configure and stage Juniper devices across multiple milestone phases
- Execute on-site deployments in a controlled data centre environment
- Conduct structured testing and provide support for validation activities
- Collaborate with security teams on compliance and remediation documentation
SolarWinds Monitoring Platform:
- Deliver full system design and build documentation for SolarWinds deployments
- Configure SNMP and syslog filters based on customer-defined criteria
- Lead the server build and configuration of SolarWinds environments (Observability and NPM)
- Develop monitoring dashboards in line with assumed service team needs (refinable post-deployment)
- Support software import and licence alignment with customer procurement teams
Additional Systems Support (Optional Scope):
- Complete end-to-end deployment for VMware Horizon, NTP, and Cisco ISE components
- Provide staging, testing, and documentation for these platforms as required
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience deploying Juniper network infrastructure in enterprise/secure environments
- Strong knowledge of SolarWinds (Observability and/or NPM), including SNMP, syslog, and dashboard design
- Comfortable authoring LLDs, build guides, testing scripts, and service documentation
- Familiarity with secure environments and government-grade compliance standards
- Confident in stakeholder communication and service team engagement
Desirable:
- Experience working within public sector or MOD environments
- Understanding of infrastructure security principles and remediation processes
- Hands-on knowledge of Cisco ISE and VMware Horizon platforms
- Comfortable managing own workstream with minimal supervision
