Summary

HarmonyTech Inc. is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, configure, and optimize high-performance network infrastructures supporting critical business operations. In this role, the Network Engineer will be responsible for architecting secure, resilient, and scalable network solutions across complex multi-vendor environments, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.

The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in network design, SD-WAN, SD-Branch, and troubleshooting, a strong understanding of industry best practices, and a proactive approach to mitigating potential risks. This role demands excellence in managing dynamic network ecosystems, implementing innovative solutions, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Position is in Washington D.C. and requires U.S. Citizenship or Green Card.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and support LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and SD-Branch networks
  • Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot network infrastructure involving:
    • Cisco Routers and Switches
    • Netgear Switches
    • Palo Alto 820 Firewalls
    • Cisco Meraki MR36 Access Points
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network performance and connectivity issues across multi-vendor environments
  • Implement robust network security measures and conduct regular vulnerability assessments
  • Support network automation, monitoring, and integration efforts with cloud platforms

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer in senior-level, enterprise environments
  • Proven experience with SD-WAN and SD-Branch technologies
  • Hands-on experience managing and configuring:
    • Cisco Routers and Switches
    • Netgear Switches
    • Palo Alto 820 Firewalls
    • Cisco Meraki MR36 Access Points
  • In-depth knowledge of routing protocols, switching technologies, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networking
  • Strong troubleshooting and network performance optimizationtuning skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CCNP certification or equivalent

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
