What You’ll Do
You will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Bates White’s network infrastructure to ensure reliable connectivity and optimal performance. You will monitor network systems, identify and resolve issues, and ensure security protocols are in place to protect data and systems. You will
collaborate with other Technical Services teams to plan network upgrades, optimize configurations, and support business needs. You will:
- Design, implement, and maintain data center infrastructure, including switches (Arista), firewalls (Palo Alto), and load balancers (Netscaler).
- Design, implement, and maintain Aruba access switches, wireless infrastructure, and network access control systems (ClearPass).
- Manage connectivity for internet services, co-location facilities, and public cloud platforms (Azure ExpressRoute, AWS Direct Connect).
- Monitor and optimize the performance, reliability, and security of the organization's network infrastructure.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, procedures, and processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system availability, security, performance, connectivity, and overall functionality.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication across all organizational levels to ensure collaboration and operational efficiency.
What You’ll Bring To The Table
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 to 6 years of professional experience in network operations and engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DHCP, BGP, STP, QoS, DNS, SNMP, NetFlow, and port channel.
- Expertise in Network access control (NAC), 802.1x authentication, and zero-trust security principles.
- Comprehensive understanding of firewalls, network security, and segmentation practices.
- Hands-on experience with network devices from leading vendors such as Cisco, Arista, Aruba, Palo Alto, F5, and Netscaler.
- Proficiency using network management and monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, Datadog, CloudVision, Aruba Central, Wireshark, and iperf.
- Familiarity with data center-to-public cloud connectivity solutions such as AWS Direct connect and Azure ExpressRoute.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- May require more than 40.0 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.

- Competitive compensation—the salary range for this position is $95,000 to $115,000. This position is also eligible for bonus compensation on a discretionary basis. The actual salary offered for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including qualifications and experience, education, external market data, and internal equity.
