We are currently looking for Network Engineer T1.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Interface with carrier circuit delivery teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Manage multiple circuit activations.
• Validate circuit assignments and port configurations.
• Troubleshoot Layer 1 issues with carriers and operations teams.
• Support the decommissioning of legacy circuits.
• Test and verify services to ensure proper functionality and compliance with orders.
• Create completion reports and update documentation.
• Perform service remediation as required.
• Attend carrier and internal meetings.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Prepare and deploy BLPA (Backbone Link Provisioning and Activation).
• Handle CSP Tether and Port orders, including VC Testing.
  
  

Specific Duties

• Review and process service orders.
• Maintain tracking systems, including circuit completion checklists.
• Manage vendor and carrier information.
• Utilize network monitoring and management tools.
• Update training materials as needed.
• Respond promptly to email communications.
• Ensure project management boards are up to date.
• Track new circuits and decommissioned circuits in internal systems.
• Conduct and manage change requests.
  
  

Qualifications

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Layer 1 troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in email management and communication.
• Experience handling various circuit types.
  
  

Skills & Competencies

• Intermediate knowledge of BGP fundamentals.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to assess test results, including RFC, BERT, and OTDR.
