Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks.
• Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.
• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and access control lists (ACLs).
• Monitor network performance and identify and resolve network issues proactively.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity problems, analyze network traffic, and identify performance bottlenecks.
• Perform network diagnostics and implement corrective actions.
• Implement and maintain network security policies and procedures.
• Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Respond to security incidents and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation.
• Provide technical support to end-users and other IT teams.
• Participate in network infrastructure projects, including planning, implementation, and testing.
  
  

Qualifications

Experience : 6+ years of experience in network engineering roles.

Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, IPsec, VPN, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
• Experience with configuring and troubleshooting network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers) from leading vendors (e.g, Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet).
• Experience with network security concepts and technologies ( firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, intrusion detection).
• Experience with network monitoring tools (Nagios, Prometheus) and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl, Bash) for network automation.
• Industry certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
