As part of our growth initiative, we are recruiting a Network Engineer. This person will be working with a mature team with a broad skill set, to ensure the management and the running of our network's solutions (including their evolution and optimizations). Responsibilities further include:

Key Responsibilities

• Analyzing and auditing Networks Solutions and Architecture.
• Ensuring the implementation of the chosen network configuration
• Maintaining and optimizing networks by monitoring and managing their performance.
• Ensuring and documenting a network technologies watch
• Design and manage the deployment of new and existing customers’ Networks.
• Utilization of our tool chain; Ansible, AWX, Jenkins, Docker, Gitlab
• Willingness to learn modern technologies in a fast-paced learning environment.
• Perform Network equipment deployment and configuration.
• Maintain relationship with telecom suppliers.
• Implementation and application of security protocols
• Validate technical solutions in coordination with oXya’s French and American teams.
• Maintenance and evolution of oXya networks in North America (mainly USA) to ensure operational effectiveness.

Expertise

• Utilize knowledge of operating systems (Linux and Microsoft Windows)
• Vast knowledge and experience of VMware products on large scale
• Computer blade systems to support our various teams and customers.
• Knowledge of basic programming fundamentals
• Knowledge of automation toolsets such as Ansible is a plus.
• Devices and telco networks expertise required (Switch, networks routers, firewalls) as well as the server systems, operating systems and the software.

Insight

• Provide input and collaborate on the design of continuous improvements of oXya and its customers networks.
• Propose new and innovative solutions to improve customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in network administration, computer science, software engineering, MIS, or a related technical field; or equivalent professional experience.
• Passion for technology and a strong willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with a collaborative mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
• Relevant hands-on experience in network engineering, including design, implementation, and optimization.
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP networking, including architecture design, integration, and performance monitoring.
• Proficient in configuring and managing network infrastructure components such as routers, firewalls, VPNs, and servers.
• Solid understanding of LAN/WAN technologies and virtualization (e.g., VMware).
• Strong experience with operating systems (Linux and Windows).
• Familiarity with network security protocols and implementation practices.
• Expertise in VPN technologies, particularly IPsec.

Additional qualifications that are a plus

• Hands-on experience with Fortinet FortiGate firewalls
• Familiarity with Cisco technologies, including ASA, Catalyst, and NX-OS
• Knowledge of Extreme (Brocade) VDX and Ruckus (Brocade) ICX switches
• Understanding of dynamic routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF

This position requires light travel (5% -) as part of operations to Datacenter locations.
