Job Description

We are looking for a self-starting, highly motivated individual with good communication skills to join our Network Operations Team. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of Cisco Viptela SDWAN operations and troubleshooting. As a Network Engineer you will work closely with other IT support teams on network-related issues & projects to support multiple data centers & offices locations.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and manage Cisco Viptela SDWAN infrastructure .
• Responsible for a large WAN environment, involving multiple networks and data centers, ensuring maximum availability.
• Work effectively on cross-departmental projects
• Support network administration & participate day to day operations & issues for Cisco Viptela SDWAN.
• Perform troubleshooting analysis of problems with Cisco Viptela SDWAN infrastructure, working with ISP or vendors to open tickets & TAC.
• Manage network systems back up.
• Document network problems and resolution for future reference
• Maintain network diagrams and documentation
• Generate and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.
• Monitor network performance, and implement performance tuning.
• Provide prompt communication and status reports on critical activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar
• 2+ years of network administration/engineering experience required
• Experience troubleshooting and tuning WAN networks
• Expertise in WAN/LAN and transport technologies (Ethernet, MPLS, TDM circuits)
• Proven ability to work with logical design models (Spanning tree, VTP, VLANs, physical cabling)
• Knowledge of network protocols ( NTP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP,), network management protocols (CDP, TFTP, SNMP) and security protocols (SSH, HTTPS/SSL, AAA, IPSec)
• Technical expertise in: Routing, Switching , Cisco Viptela SDWAN (vManage, vSmart, vBond), Onboarding of new router, Configure Device Templates & SDWAN Policies.
• Networking: Switches, Routers, VPN, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, Latency, , QoS, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS
• Working knowledge of IP communication and routing (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP)
• Experience working in a team-oriented, joint environment, preferably in Banking Sector.
• Experience with Solarwinds or equivalent enterprise monitoring and analysis toolset
• Experience with disaster recovery – planning, implementation and maintenance
• Methodical, meticulous person who is prepared to help instill the processes, standards and best practices in a diverse fast-changing environment
• Industry certifications desired: CCNA , Cisco ENSDW.
