Location: Charleroi As a Network Engineer, you will be a key member of the Operations team, providing Level 2 network support to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of the organization’s communication systems. Your role will be crucial in troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing network infrastructure. Your Responsibilities Provide advanced technical support for network issues unresolved by Tier 1, including WLAN, LAN, WAN, and VPN services. Diagnose and resolve complex network problems, including connectivity, performance, and security configurations. Apply security updates and patches to network equipment in compliance with IT policies. Assist in planning and implementing network changes, including upgrades and new configurations. Collaborate with the design team for deploying new network solutions and infrastructure projects. Maintain detailed technical documentation on network configurations, standard procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Train and advise the Level 1 Support Team on network best practices and problem-solving methods. Your Profile You are an experienced Network Engineer with expertise in managing and troubleshooting network infrastructures in large-scale environments. Required Skills Strong experience in WLAN, LAN, WAN, DNS/DHCP networking. Proven experience in network security and managing security aspects. Experience in routing, switching, and WiFi technologies. Ability to implement changes related to network infrastructures. Experience in monitoring and tuning network systems. Experience in large environments (2000+ users). Experience in designing and implementing new network systems. Proven Level 2 support experience in network management (3+ years). Both French and English - at least B2 level. Nice-to-Have CCNA certification (or equivalent). Good knowledge of ITIL (nice to have). Familiarity with Cisco and Fortinet products. Knowledge of Infoblox and industrial networks is an asset. Good understanding of network fundamentals in Azure Cloud. Soft Skills Customer and solution-oriented mindset. Strong problem-solving skills under pressure.
