Summary:
The Network Engineer IV serves as the point person for activities and staff within the core workgroup of the Network Services Team and acts as a liaison between departments and the Information Technology department to resolve operational problems and facilitate communications. The Lead must possess excellent interpersonal skills, which include communication (both written and verbal). The project and work approach are team-centric, creative, analytical, and flexible. Able to lead and manage high-quality project work and work orders assigned to the network team.
Responsibilities:
1. The ability to lead project milestones and productivity for the entire core group. The lead is accountable for work produced by the core team.
2. Manage the organization's LAN, WAN, and WLAN, design, and implementation.
3 Recommends network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices.
4. Provides hands-on technical and architectural knowledge of network infrastructure, protocols, and Internet standards, including TCP/IP, wireless, routing and switching.
5. Escalation point for the core group and competence with network testing tools.
6. Organizational knowledge of goals and objectives.
7. Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
8. Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
9. Leads research into networking issues and products as required.
10. Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
11. Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
12. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
13. Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Required: BS or equivalent work experience and certification.
