Network Engineer Position Summary
Provide engineering supervision for the design and implementation of and the ongoing support for TidalHealth's data, voice and video enterprise technology network. This includes the main campus, all hospital affiliated remote locations and all authorized medical facilities associated with TidalHealth and its alliance facilities. Assist in the design and implementation of physical and logical standards for information access across all departments and locations. Implement appropriate industry standards as determined by TidalHealth's Information Services department. The Network Engineer will be the direct point of contact for the implementation and support of the varying network and telecommunication systems used within TidalHealth. Under the direction of departmental management, the Network Engineer will coordinate the evaluation, design, testing, implementation and provision of network and telecommunication support for departmental and integrated, enterprise wide telecommunication systems.
Network Engineer Position Requirements
Education
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other computer related field.
* Extensive work experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements on a case-by-case basis.
Experience
* At least five years experience in designing, implementing, and managing large telecommunication networks with proven leadership, project management, analytical and customer service skills.
* Experience with Cisco CallManager, VoIP, TCP/IP, routers, switches, firewalls, broadband circuits, wireless networking, and cabling highly desirable.
* Healthcare industry experience preferred.
* Demonstrated skills in training, project management, problem resolution and fiscal responsibility.
* Excellent verbal and communications skills are required.
