Job Title: Network Engineer | Duration: 6 months + extension | Location: Melbourne preferred (hybrid work)

To be successful, the Network Engineer needs to have recent experience in design and Transmission of IP MPLS networks. The role will be working with a Transport Engineer, to design and test IP MPLS network architecture, develop standard configuration templates for to deploy over 800 routers across 300 sites in Victoria.
- Location: Must be based in Melbourne, VICTORIA
- Full Victorian Driver's licence
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia and no visa restrictions (ability to work in Metro and Regional areas of Victoria).
To be successful in the role, you must have:
- Tertiary level degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering or related course
- Engineering background with extensive IP/MPLS design/ transmission experience
- Experience in Design Firewall policies to integrate multiple network domains and Firewall management.
- High level of technical expertise relevant to the network delivery program of work
- Ability to understand the solution and the required infrastructure to implement.
- Ability to identify and resolve complex design related challenges.
- Good attention to detail and ability to focus and consistently manage deliverables independently within the agreed timeframe.
- Understanding of Cisco solution and proficiency in traffic engineering, dynamic routing path design.
- Sound knowledge of IP networks as they pertain to two-way radio systems, backhaul, redundancy and availability
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to influence and drive change at all stakeholder levels
- Recent local Australian experience and based in Melbourne - this is non-negotiable.
