Position Summary

S2Technologies is seeking a Network Engineer (Intermediate) to provide on-site support for classified and unclassified network operations at Schriever SFB. The selected candidate will assist with the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of physical and logical network systems in support of mission-critical infrastructure. This role includes managing secure voice, data, and transport technologies, ensuring compliance with DoD policies and standards, and supporting ongoing sustainment and technical refresh efforts.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Configure and manage Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity, and related VoIP systems to support reliable and secure communications.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network performance using tools such as SolarWinds and Remedy; respond to degradation and outages.
• Implement and support Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for access control and endpoint compliance.
• Perform device configuration, firmware updates, and system maintenance on Cisco routers, switches, and servers.
• Support the handling and update of COMSEC encryption devices such as KG-175, KIV-7M, in compliance with DoD and NSA standards.
• Maintain accurate network diagrams, inventory records, and documentation using tools like Microsoft Visio.
• Apply and track implementation of TCNOs, STIGs, and other cybersecurity compliance directives.
• Assist in the planning and execution of hardware/software refreshes and equipment replacement as part of lifecycle sustainment.
• Coordinate with government personnel and vendors to support implementation efforts and resolve operational issues.
  
  

Minimum Qualification

• BA/BS in a technical field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in network operations or support.
• Active Top Secret clearance.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco CUCM, Cisco ISE, routers, and switches.
• Familiarity with DoD IT environments, including TCNOs, STIGs, and Remedy ticketing systems.
• Experience with SolarWinds or equivalent network monitoring tools.
• Strong documentation and troubleshooting skills.

• CompTIA Security+.
• CompTIA Network+
• Cisco CCNA
  
  

Additional Information

• This is a full-time, on-site position at Schriever Space Force Base.
• Some on-call or after-hours support may be required.
• Physical access to network/server spaces and occasional lifting of equipment may be necessary.
