You will be responsible for helping VectorUSA and our customers design, build, and maintain network and collaboration systems that support their business operations. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience managing LAN/WAN/WLAN network environments while also taking on key responsibilities related to voice, video, and collaboration technologies to ensure seamless communication across diverse client networks and ecosystems.

You should excel at working both independently and in a team environment, communicating effectively with technical and non-technical personnel, especially in high-stress situations. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in delivering voice, video, and collaboration solutions to support customers' unified communications infrastructure.

What Your Typical Day Will Be

  • Provide multi-technology consulting services to clients, offering strategies and solutions for network infrastructure, voice, video, and collaboration platforms.
  • Install, configure, and maintain IP telephony and unified communications systems, including VoIP, video conferencing, and collaboration tools.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to LAN, WAN, WLAN, and voice/collaboration components.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, wireless systems, VoIP systems, video conferencing platforms, and end-user network devices.
  • Perform system upgrades, firmware updates, and patch management for voice and network infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and technical support teams to resolve advanced technical issues.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for network and collaboration systems, including configurations, call flow diagrams, and user guides.
  • Participate in the design and deployment of Cisco Unified Communications systems (CUCM, CUC, IM&P, Webex, etc.), including SIP trunking and PSTN connectivity.
  • Support and troubleshoot voice quality issues, call routing, and video conferencing issues.
  • Perform routine system health checks and monitor network and collaboration environments to ensure high availability.
  • Work in a 24x7 operational environment, supporting multiple technical systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring To The Table

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field — or equivalent corporate/military training.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of full-time experience in network engineering, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and error correction of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and voice/collaboration systems.
  • Experience working with VoIP, Unified Communications, and Collaboration platforms, such as:
  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)
  • Cisco Unity Connection (CUC)
  • Cisco IM & Presence
  • Cisco Webex and Webex Calling
  • Microsoft Teams and Zoom
  • Experience with IP telephony protocols (SIP, H.323, MGCP) and call flow troubleshooting.
  • Cisco CCNA certification required; CCNA Collaboration is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, network security, and Quality of Service (QoS).
  • Ability to configure and maintain Cisco voice gateways, dial plans, and call flows.
  • Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Proven ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to produce and maintain detailed documentation of network and collaboration systems.
  • Must meet all requirements to obtain a Federal Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC).
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends as required.

Preferred Experience

  • Cisco CCNP Collaboration certification or equivalent advanced-level certifications.
  • Experience with Cisco Webex, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other collaboration platforms.
  • Working knowledge of IP internetworking, IP routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), Quality of Service (QoS), and IP multicast.
  • Experience deploying and maintaining Cisco video endpoints (Room Kits, Desk Pros, etc.).
  • Knowledge of call center solutions, contact center deployments, and call quality monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams Voice, Direct Routing, and PSTN connectivity.
  • Experience with third-party video conferencing platforms and SIP trunking configurations.
  • Experience in enterprise-level infrastructure support, including voice and collaboration platforms.

Compensation Range Starting at: $125,000/yr. and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision; paid vacation and holidays; and a 401k matching program.
