Summary

Rate: €400-€425 per day B2B (8 hours, 5 days a week)

Location: Budapest, Hungary (Remote with occasional office visits, 10-15%)

Duration: 12 months, view to extend


Role Summary:

We’re seeking a Network Engineer to maintain and optimize local and wide area network infrastructure in a complex enterprise environment. The role includes planning, design, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and associated systems, with a strong emphasis on OT (Operational Technology) environments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.)
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations
  • Ensure reliable data flow across business and OT networks, including DMZs
  • Maintain network documentation, configuration standards, and disaster recovery procedures
  • Collaborate with InfoSec teams on network security and compliance
  • Support hardware/software upgrades and vendor coordination


Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a networking role
  • Hands-on experience in enterprise LAN/WAN design and operations
  • Solid understanding of Cisco technologies (switches, routers, IOS), VLANs, and network protocols (TCP/IP, EIGRP, BGP, STP)
  • Experience supporting OT environments and industrial network architectures
  • Familiarity with firewalls, wireless networking, and VoIP systems
  • CCNA or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
  • Experience with tools for performance monitoring, asset management, and packet analysis


Nice to Have:

  • Cisco Nexus or Meraki experience
  • VMware infrastructure familiarity
  • Fortinet exposure
