Role Requirements:
• The positions require network engineering skills, with a focus on network design and troubleshooting.
• Candidates should have experience with Cisco (preferred), Arista (Preferred), and Ruckus platforms (good to have), as the company is transitioning from Ruckus to Cisco.
• Wireless experience with Aruba and Aruba DC is also necessary.
• The roles involve both hands-on engineering and some project management skills.
• Ideal resource should be having 6-8 years of experience who will start as an independent contributor but gradually moving him / herself to Lead role.
Responsibilities
• Provide support to plan, build, and manage complex Manufacturing/Office LAN/WAN/VPN and wireless infrastructure.
• Implement changes to hardware and/or software that improve network performance, speed and connectivity.
• Troubleshoot network issues including BGP, OSPF, VLAN, Spanning Tree, WAN, network hardware/software, wireless etc.
• Align with Global Network Services team to incorporate company standards and preferred practices into local site network builds.
• Ensure local/regional network infrastructure is properly monitored. Act as point of contact and Subject Matter Expert to respond to network incidents/service requests according to Service Level Agreements.
OEMs & Skillsets:
• Access Network: Transitioning from Ruckus to Cisco.
• Core Network:
o Data Center: Arista (7280R, 7260X) and Cisco (N7K, N9K, Cat9500, Cat9400).
• Wireless: Aruba, ClearPass, and Aruba Central.
• Clients Network Architecture End State: Arista and Cisco.
Design Skillset:
• Required to support plant facilitation, including:
o New/modifications to floor plans within the plant (common in manufacturing).
o New VLAN setup.
o Structured cabling design, etc.
Certifications Preferred:
• CCNA/CCNP
