Network Engineer Job description AAC is seeking a Network Engineer to join a new and fast-growing Information Technology team that supports a national technology footprint. In conjunction with our various partners and MSP’s you will oversee the overall network and systems architecture requirements, design and implementation in a cloud first approach. This position will begin as a 6 month contract with opportunity for extensions or conversions. This position will be work a hybrid remote schedule with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: · Assist 3rd party management of IT networks including design, monitoring, support and Change Management across Microsoft, Cisco and Aruba technologies – ensuring the service provider maintains the health, security and availability of the environment · Create and maintain clear and concise documentation of the environment, exhibiting excellent change control and an appreciation of the control of risk · Provide subject matter expertise, guidance and mentoring on all of the enterprise network · Identify opportunities to improve the technical landscape assisting in the design, documentation, costing and implementation of new infrastructure solutions · Support IT Project teams in delivery of wider IT services and applications, ensuring adherence to IT infrastructure best practice and standards · Assist in IT Change Board as needed, driving best practice in IT Service and Change Management · Ensure security levels on network, infrastructure and servers are maintained. · Support Network Core, Firewalls, Switches, Routers, VPNs, Wireless Access Points, and other associated equipment. · Work closely with our MSP providers, Service Delivery Manager and IT staff to provide outstanding service to our user community. · Ensure data and trend analysis are performed monthly for Infrastructure team. ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: · At least 5 years of experience working with LAN / WAN / TCP-IP / Firewalls / Switching/ Routing configuration and admin (Juniper/Meraki) · Experience with Versa Secure SD-WAN environments · Knowledge of network security protocols and procedures · Multi-site network environment experience (within retail industry is a huge plus) · Microsoft Azure networking is a plus Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Experience: Versa SD-Wan: 1 year (Required) Network engineering: 1 year (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: Glen Rock, NJ: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
