The Service Delivery Engineer works closely with our Field Network Engineers and contractors to configure networks remotely and turn up new installations. This is an internally focused role that needs a process-driven and detail-oriented individual who is proficient with networking.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, but are not limited to:
• Work with techs/contractors on-site during installation and fully configure and turn up new networks
• Create documentation “as-builts” for network installs
• Work with support team to hand off installs into the support environment
• Configure devices for break/fix tickets
• Create and maintain equipment config guides
• Create and maintain standardized equipment configs for all devices we ship
• Work with various vendors on network system turn ups
• Wireless network tuning and testing review
• Assist support with complex and/or priority networking issues
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's Degree in IT/Networking field is preferred, minimum of 5 years experience in networking. Hospitality experience is preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and write English fluently
• Ability to learn and use proprietary software
• Willingness to adapt to changing environments
• Great prioritization skills and the ability to multitask, while working under tight time constraints
• Experience with computers and proficiency with software programs such as MS Office and Visio, and other industry recognized applications
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and highly organized
• Ability to work in a team environment
• CCNA level or equivalent certification. Ruckus, Aruba, Fortinet, and Linux certs are an asset
• Experience with configuring and installing Routers, Firewalls, Servers, Layer2/3 Ethernet Switches and Wireless Access Points
• Excellent networking skills and understanding of high density Wi-Fi installations.
• Experience with standards based 802.1 p/q, 802.1w (RSTP) and 802.1s (MSTP), 802.3ad (LAG), and 802.11 networks required.
• Knowledge of networking equipment from various manufacturers – Aruba, Cisco/Meraki, Ruckus, Fortinet, Cambium, Nomadix
• Experience with Radius and 802.1x deployments preferred
• Experience with WiFi Survey and Predictive Analysis Software and tools such as Ekahau Survey
