Summary

Role : Network Data Engineer

Location : SFO , CA (Remote)

Primary skills: Routing and Switching, Cisco Juniper Secondary Skills: Aruba Wireless, F5 Load Balancer, Security Palo Alto

Roles & Responsibilities: -

Configure and support network and security products.

Manage and maintain all Network devices configurations.

Suggest network upgrades and hardware reconfigurations to avoid repetitive issues.

Provide technical support and help reduce issues by providing long term fix.

Assist with network study, traffic analysis and the preparation of forecast reports.

Recommend modification to the network configurations which will help reduce costs and add value to the customer.

Provide expert-level hands on network infrastructure support for the enterprise-wide data communications network.

Mandatory Knowledge Area:-

Cisco Routing - Protocols BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, basics of MPLS, VRF, MPBGP, Multicast.

Cisco Switching - STP, VTP, HSRP, VRRP, Modular Switch Hardware, VLAN, Trunk, Port-channel, Loop Prevention techniques, IOS Upgrades

Cisco Nexus Switches - vPC, VDC, M card, F card, upgrades

Cisco Wireless and Cisco Prime - General Management and troubleshooting of Wireless devices and basic knowledge on operating Prime

Checkpoint Gaia - MDS,URL Filtering/Application, Https Inspection, Policy, Traffic Analysis, Smart Monitor, Alerting

Cisco ASA Firewall - VPN, IPSEC, ACL Filtration, NAT

Good to Have Knowledge Area: -

Cisco Stealth watch - analyzing NetFlow Traffic

VMware NSX - Managing NSX Firewall

Infoblox - General Management and IP Reservation procedures

SolarWinds - NPM, NCM, UDT, Managing Nodes, Creating Alerts and policies

Microsoft Visio - Hands on practice on designing Network Topologies.
