We're seeking a Network Automation Engineer for a 6-month contract with view to extend to support the automation and optimisation of our Cisco-based infrastructure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) networking environment.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building scalable, automated solutions using Python and Ansible-ideal for a contractor who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automate configuration and management of Cisco routing and switching infrastructure using Ansible and Python.

• Integrate network automation workflows with GCP networking services.

• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines to streamline network operations.

• Support network deployments, troubleshoot automation workflows, and ensure high availability.

• Collaborate with infrastructure and cloud teams to align on security and performance best practices.

• Proven experience with Cisco networking (routing, switching, IOS/XE/XR).

• Strong scripting skills in Python.

• Solid understanding of GCP networking

• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins).
