JOB DESCRIPTION: Will be responsible for managing and maintaining a medium-size office network supporting corporate and contract efforts. Supports the integration of new contract assets into the network, ensuring remote connectivity for endpoints and remote offices, supporting all endpoints and services across the enterprise, deploying new services through virtualized or container deployments, advises on the security impact of change, and develops/implements disaster response actions. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: The ideal candidate will hold a degree in a technical field such as Computer Engineering/Science or a focus on Network Engineering. A technical degree will not be required if applicable certifications can be presented such as Cisco CCNA (or similar), Palo Alto Networks Certifications, or Windows Administration certification. All skill qualifications will require hands-on demonstration during the interview process. Must have at least 2 years in the field of IT infrastructure maintenance and network engineering. * Ideal candidates should demonstrate ability to work within a team, be proficient with the technologies utilized within the infrastructure, have a strong ability to troubleshoot, resolve and communicate network issues to other employees and management. * Ability to develop and maintain Cisco IOS configurations across networks: Candidates must have strong knowledge of Layer2&3 switching, VLANs, ability to maintain ACLs, manage port security, and understanding of the OSI model. * Proficiency with Palo Alto Networks devices or similar routing and firewall vendors: Candidates must have knowledge on the configuration and management of firewall security policy rules, zone definitions, VPN portals, VPN gateways and VPN profiles for a hybrid work environment. * Strong preference for candidates with experience managing SIEM, Syslog, EDR, and Network Performance Monitoring systems. * Candidates must have hands-on experience installing and configuring network equipment. * High preference for candidates who strive to maintain current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems. SECURITY REQUIREMENTS: * US Citizenship is required. * An active DoD TOP SECRET security clearance based current SSBI or ability to receive a clearance, preferred but not required to apply.
