Required Technical Skill Set**

Snowflake DBT, ETL and reporting, Netezza to Snowflake data migration

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have**

• Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree;
• 4 years of data engineering, data analysis or software development experience implementing data solutions with at least 1 year of data engineering or data management experience.
• 1 or more years experience in performing ELT operations using Snowflake DBT tool, and database reporting.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize ETL processes on the Netezza platform.
• Collaborate with data architects to implement data models and structures.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data retrieval and analysis.
• Ensure data integrity through effective data quality checks and validation processes.
• Utilize performance tuning techniques to enhance Netezza system efficiency.
• Participate in requirement gathering sessions with stakeholders to determine data needs.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to system architecture and data processes.
• Assist in developing data integration strategies across the organization.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
• Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time.
• Stay updated with the latest Netezza technologies and trends.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users when necessary.
• Participate in project planning and status reporting.
• Ensure compliance with data governance standards and best practices.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Netezza Developer or similar role.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with Netezza SQL extensions.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
• Experience in ETL tools and processes, particularly with Netezza.
• Familiarity with data modeling tools and methodologies.
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization techniques in Netezza.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Experience with data governance and compliance frameworks.
• Knowledge of Agile project management methodologies.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
• Professional certifications in Netezza or related technologies are a plus.
