Description POSITION DESCRIPTION POSITION TITLE: NBP Operations Manager REPORTS TO: Food Solutions International General Manager STATUS: Exempt DATE: February 2025 LOCATION: Napoleons Bakery Plant POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the FSI General Manager, this position entails overseeing bakery production and making critical decisions to ensure efficiency, safety, quality, and compliance standards are upheld. Additionally, the role is responsible for achieving and maintaining profitability for the division. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Ensure all financial targets are met to attain a positive EBITDA and overall profitability * Schedules production based on sales demand or forecast, adjusting as needed, and aligns labor needs to ensure high productivity. * Manages all inventory, ensures order accuracy, and promotes accurate inventory usage to meet Cost of Goods goals. * Responsible for overall workflow of production, ensuring daily operations runs smoothly, making key decisions and implementing changes to improve efficiency as necessary * Ensures compliance with Workplace and Food Safety programs, and adherence to State and Federal food handling and sanitation regulations. * Works with product development and quality management * Regularly review and refine production processes to improve quality and increase efficiency. Provide suggestions for improvement. * Responsible for managing production equipment to ensure its safe operation. Provides recommendations to enhance equipment efficiency. Working with Engineering as needed. * Develop management and staff competencies in various areas such as workplace safety, organizational skills, financial literacy, and overall service quality. QUALIFICATIONS: Scheduling: * Must be available to start work as early as 5am and stay until work is complete. * Must be available all days of the week including holidays * No less than 45 hours per week Physical Ability: ? * Able to lift 50 pounds * Standing for extended periods Mental Ability: * Good decision-making skills (uses independent judgment) * Teaching / Coaching skills (able to provide guidance, support, and nurturing) * Planning / Organizational skills * Evaluation skills Pre-Employment Requirements: * Must pass Test for TB and pre-employment physical examination requirements, including drug screening Environmental Conditions: * Production Facility conditions involve extreme temperatures Education: ? * High School Diploma or equivalent Experience: ? * Minimum 2 years related experience Desired Skills: ? * Knowledge of FDA rules and regulations and State of Hawaii Food Health Code * HACCP or PCQI certified * Ability to communicate effectively * Ability to explain research findings in layman's terms * Ability to work independently Desired Attributes: ? * Self-directed * Motivated * Ability to work with management personnel and operations staff Disclaimer: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
