Summary

Job Description: The account manager is responsible for renewing SelectHealth's Large Employer national commercial business including fully insured, level-funded, self-funded business. This position supports the strategy for increasing market share and identifies and develops close professional relationships with producers, brokers, consultants, and internal partners such as underwriting, enrollment, product development and others integral to renewing business. Essential Functions * Responsibilities include managing client communications, nurturing key relationships, and keeping track of all necessary documentation, paying close attention to any policy changes, important deadlines, and legal regulations. * Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, including national accounts brokers and consultants. * Develop and implement strategies for overcoming commercial competition to increase or maintain sales and market share, such as sales strategies, promotional plans, and pricing strategies. * Analyze market and plan trends. They also monitor and report on sales performance and customer feedback. Provide ongoing education to keep our clients informed about plan utilization, local and national trends as well as up sale Select Health products * Renewal Process Management - Manages the renewal process throughout the year for assigned local and national employer groups and coordinates the acquisition and enrollment of new business, including overseeing the timely issuance and return of signed contracts or letters of understanding for all clients. * Enrollment Coordination and Client Support - Organizes and coordinates the enrollment of client groups, presents plan benefits, and assists client administrators in underwriting risk, contract compliance, and related areas. * Internal Process Coordination - Directs the internal enrollment process by coordinating underwriting, enrollment, finance, and marketing functions to ensure timely group enrollments and the proper administration of plans. * Problem Identification and Resolution - Identifies problems and provides solutions related to benefit designs, provider relations, financial and billing concerns, and other employer issues, approving deviations from standard processes when necessary. * Full-time position, 8am - 5pm workday, with additional hours as needed * Hybrid work environment schedule, subject to change * Professional conduct and attire * Personal automobile and valid driver's license Skills * Health Insurance Industry Knowledge * Customer Relationship Management * Communication Skills * Sales and Negotiation Skills * Analytical Skills * Project Management * Technical Proficiency * Leadership Skills * Strategic Thinking * Adaptability and Resilience Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree or four years of equivalent experience in customer service, sales, marketing, or communications. The degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified. * Five years of sales or health care industry experience. Preferred Qualifications * Current Utah State health insurance agent/consultant license. If an incumbent does not have the license, they must acquire licensure within six months of the date of hire to remain in the job. Additional licensing may be required in other states where SelectHealth is located. * Effective communication skills (both verbal and written). * and - * Ability to sell and manage the sales process. * and - * Ability to handle duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision; display professionalism in judgment and decision-making.
