Position Overview

The Municipal Design Engineer will be responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of municipal infrastructure projects, including roadways, drainage systems, and highways. The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed design work for municipal infrastructure projects including roadways and drainage systems.
• Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, and reports for compliance with applicable standards.
• Coordinate with local government and regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
• Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely completion of deliverables.
• Conduct field visits and inspections to assess project progress and compliance with design specifications.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, contractors, and clients to achieve project objectives.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or the ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in municipal design, including drainage and roadway projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering design software and principles, particularly in highway design.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with various stakeholders.
