WHAT YOU?LL DO
As the General Manager you will run your own locations while leading our site operations teams in locations across Canada. Reporting to the District manager you will be focused on ensuring each of our locations delivers outstanding food and service every day to all our customers.
You will execute our programs at each of our sites and then ensure delivery by supporting the teams with a hands-on approach to managing operations.
The successful candidate must have experience in managing a large diverse team and have a track record in service excellence and people development.
Responsibilities
Be seen as a senior leader for all operations and advocate for both our client and Aramark
Be accountable and responsible for maintaining a culture focused on safety in everything we do
Ensure each location is compliant with Aramark programs at all times
Delivering the highest quality of services for each of our clients across all contracted services
Train and develop the management team to ensure contract compliance and exceptional service
Support succession planning to ensure service consistency at all times
Deliver annual revenue growth in all service lines through exceptional quality and targeted marketing plans
Audit services in all locations to ensure contract and legal compliance in the province
Deputize for the district manager as required
Any other tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
University/College Degree/Diploma in Business Administration or hospitality management preferred
5 years minimum experience leading a large team in hospitality services to include restaurant and/or quick service restaurants
Advanced food safety qualification
Drivers License required
Experience of managing multiple sites
Excellent computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Strong
Financial literacy re: food costing, labour cost, inventory management
Proven ability in analyzing financial statements, operating reports, budget variance reports and other financial statements
Ability to recruit, develop, and retain a strong and diverse team within a dynamic work environment
Ability to build and establish internal and external relationship at all levels of the organization including senior levels of management
Self-directed with strong interpersonal and communications skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Positive attitude and genuine customer focus orientation
Must have the physical capabilities required for light lifting and constant walking
Excellent knowledge of regulatory issues such as WHMIS, OH&S, and infection control
Able to be flexible, evening and weekend shifts when required.
Will be required to pass a police background check as a requirement of employment
