Multi-Site Controller – Hybrid | Aurora, Ontario Create value at TC Transcontinental

We are looking for a Multi-Site Controller, Financial Operations who will manage a team of three Finance Operation Supervisors (including fifteen indirect reports) dedicated to the accounting of our Marketing Products operations in Aurora, Brampton and Paris (Ontario). The incumbent will report to the Head of Financial Operations, Ontario, and will play a key role in supporting the Ontario business entities/plants, various continuous improvement projects, control efficiency, and team development. These responsibilities will involve collaboration with several teams, such as the various corporate departments as well as Finance Business Partners and the operations of the entities under their governance.

The position is located at 275 Wellington Street East, Aurora, ON L4G 6J9 and offers the possibility of hybrid telework.

  • Ensure service efficiency and provide direction to the team under their responsibility while aligning with the company's objectives.
  • Provide quality accounting expertise to internal collaborators in operations and sales.
  • Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual closings of business units.
  • Review and optimize various monthly analyses (balance sheet analysis, inventory analysis and counts, billing, costing, project cost tracking) and ensure quality and compliance with key controls for regulation 52-109.
  • Provide required assistance for internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate in the development or improvement of IT tools and/or optimization, and integration of accounting systems.
  • Participate in and propose continuous improvement projects in accounting activities.
  • Collaborate with various financial teams (AP, AR, business partners, corporate, tax) and operational teams.
  • Participate actively in the integrations of our upcoming acquisitions.
  • Ensure optimal management of the team under their responsibility.

When your expertise drives us.

  • CPA accounting title (required).
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience, including 3 years in a management position.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Excel.
