Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server databases to meet business and technical requirements.

2. Write complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to support application functionality.

3. Optimize SQL queries for performance, including the creation of indexes, query tuning, and execution plan analysis.

4. Implement and maintain ETL processes to move and transform data between systems.

5. Work on data modeling and database design, ensuring data integrity and consistency.

6. Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from requirement gathering to post-production support.

7. Collaborate with application developers to integrate SQL Server databases with applications.

8. Perform database migration, versioning, and upgrades as required.

9. Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and data backup strategies for SQL databases.

10. Conduct database performance tuning and troubleshooting.

11. Monitor and maintain SQL Server replication and other related technologies.

12. Document database schemas, procedures, and processes for future reference.

13. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust database solutions.

14. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in production and development environments.

15. Ensure compliance with security and data privacy standards.

Skills & Qualifications:

1. Experience: Minimum of 6+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) development, including T-SQL, Stored Procedures, and Triggers.

2. Database Management: Experience with SQL Server 2012/2014/2016/2019 or higher.

3. Strong proficiency in writing optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.

4. Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for ETL processes.

5. Strong understanding of database design principles, normalization, and data modeling.

6. Hands-on experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) (optional but a plus).
