About This Role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join as a member of the Middleware Operations Integration Messaging team. You will work with other highly skilled engineers to drive strategy and overall direction of the enterprise messaging environment, including datacenter migrations, environment stability, configuration management, tuning and support messaging customers for the Technology Organization.
In This Role, You Will
- Lead complex initiatives to develop infrastructure to provide solutions for business applications
- Participate in various projects intended to continually improve or upgrade the infrastructure
- Contribute to the analysis of business, application, and technical infrastructure requirements
- Design, code, test, debug, and document programs using Agile development practices
- Lead or participate in high level technical concepts spanning technology and business
- Develop specifications for complex infrastructure systems, design, operational policies and test solutions
- Employ monitoring tools, such as Grafana, for business application and operations teams
- Contribute to the testing of business, application, and technical infrastructure requirements
- Direct daily Risk and Control flow of Compliance, focusing on policies and procedures
- Design complex system upgrades and datacenter migrations.
- Develop a long-range plan designed to resolve problems and prevent them from recurring
- Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures, and work standards to ensure success
- Assist customers to resolve production issues
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 8+ years of hands-on experience at scale on Middleware Messaging environments (IBM MQ, IBM Message Broker (ACE/IIB), KAFKA, Solace) Administration performing activities build, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, deploys, configuring, patching and compliance
- 8+ experience in Middleware Production Support in Linux and/or Mainframe platforms
- Ability to interact with all levels of an organization, including leadership.
- Strong team or technical leadership experience Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience in configuring MQ Queue Managers and troubleshooting issues involving MQ Clusters
- Creating, configuring, and maintaining MQ Objects like Queue Managers, Queues, Channels, Listeners, Topics
- Good understanding of MQ monitoring tools like IR360
- Hands on experience on IBM API Connect and manage ACE/IIB upgrades
- Experience with Kafka Connect - worker and connectors (Source and Sink)
- Ability to troubleshoot Authentication, Authorization issues
- Experience SSL certificate management
- Experience in using Ansible jobs
- Experience in using observability products like Grafana and Splunk
- Experience in writing Shell / Python scripts
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong team or technical leadership experience
- Experience supporting an enterprise-level environment
- Understands compliance and risk management requirements for supported system area
- Provide implementation support for key risk initiatives
- Experience with IBM MQ on zOS, zLinux, AIX is a plus
- Experience with IBM MQ Appliance
- Understanding Incident Management System (ServiceNow preferred)
- Monitoring Alerts, Batch Failures, Service Now Queue
- Handle outage calls efficiently, triage any issues, and fix them
- Experience in Ansible, and UDeploy
- Experience with types of Jobs Failures and Troubleshooting
- Shell Commands
- Linux Administration Basics
- Basic Networking Commands
- Understanding the Networking topology, Load Balancers such as F5/AVI
Job Expectations:
- In office expectation of 3 days per week
- On call rotation

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$111,100.00 - $197,500.00
