HealthPartners is currently hiring a Motion Graphics Designer / Editor. The Motion Graphics Designer/Editor is responsible for creating compelling video and digital assets for the HealthPartners communications and marketing team, aimed at engaging both internal and external audiences. This role collaborates closely with brand creative partners to produce content across various platforms, including social media, broadcast, internal communications, and other digital media. By utilizing motion graphics, animation, and editing, the designer/editor brings stories to life, crafting visually engaging assets that embody the HealthPartners brand.
Reporting to a Senior Director, Creative, this position is part of a dynamic team of 15 professionals, including writers, video producers, art directors, designers, and creative managers. The role involves direct collaboration with internal videographers, producers, and broader creative and content teams.
Required Qualifications:
* Degree in design, animation, or related creative field or equivalent work experience
* Five (5) years' experience in agency, in-house creative department, or production/post-production company, or as an independent contractor
* Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
* Complete understanding of motion and audio post-production workflow, including asset optimization for social media, web, and broadcast
* Ability to collaborate with a variety of internal and external partners.
* Ability to own and manage post-production tasks with little supervision.
* Strong experience in video editing and motion graphics; demonstrated 2D animation skills.
* Ability to provide day-to-day consistency of storytelling, communicate vision set by the Creative Director to the broader set of Creative, Production and Content partners within the organization.
* Ability to develop distinctive animation styles and motion language with thoughtful timing, easing, and sequencing.
* An ability to make and communicate design decisions, receive constructive feedback, and provide solutions.
* Ability to maintain high visual standards with strong attention to detail, context, and brand.
* Ability to work closely with the Creative, Production and Content teams to ensure assets meet technical and brand standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Highly skilled in Premiere Pro and After Effects
* Audio post-production capabilities
* 3D animation skills
* Interest in staying at the forefront of emerging technologies, tools, and trends in digital and social content.
Hours/Location:
* M-F; Days
* This hybrid role offers remote flexibility with occasional on-site presence required at our Bloomington, MN headquarters.
Responsibilities:
* 45% - Produce animation and motion content for social media, broadcast, internal video, and other digital projects, creating a cohesive HealthPartners brand experience through distinctive motion language.
* 45% - Video editing, including cutting footage and inputting sound and effects to create rough and final cuts. Facilitate stock footage and music searches.
* 10% - Manage production and post-production timelines. Finalize and hand-off files to production/publishing and/or vendor partners. Archiving projects. Care and maintenance of video equipment and tools (microphones, hard drives, software etc.)
