Model Based Systems Engineer.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Summary : SEACORP's Tactical Solutions Business Area is currently seeking a Systems Engineer. As a Mid-Career Systems Engineer specializing in MBSE, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of complex systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of MBSE methodologies into our projects.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and implement MBSE methodologies and tools to support system design and analysis.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define system requirements and specifications.
- Create and maintain system models using MBSE tools such as SysML, MagicDraw, or similar.
- Conduct system architecture and design reviews to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Perform system integration, verification, and validation activities.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in MBSE practices.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience : 5+ years of experience in systems engineering with a focus on MBSE.
- Proficiency in MBSE tools such as SysML, MagicDraw, Cameo Systems Modeler, or similar.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of software development and programming languages.
- Certification in MBSE or related fields.
As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship
Location: Newport, RI
Travel: Infrequently (<3 annually)
Clearance: Secret
Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
