Position Overview

One of our contracts with The Department of State is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intermediate Mobile Application Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality cross-platform mobile applications for both iOS and Android. You will work closely with designers, product managers, and backend developers to create seamless, user-friendly, and scalable mobile solutions that enhance user experience and meet business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modern cross-platform development frameworks, along with a solid understanding of mobile UI/UX best practices. You should have a proven track record of delivering polished, high-performance mobile applications and be comfortable working in an agile development environment.

Clearance Requirement: Candidates must be able to secure and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment.

Work Location: Lorton, VA

Work Schedule (On-Site): Five (5) days a week on-site at the customer’s facility

Requirements

• Design and develop cross-platform mobile applications using React Native
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create responsive and user-friendly interfaces
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices, and design patterns, and ensure adherence to industry standards
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services into mobile applications
• Implement automated testing and ensure code quality
• Optimize application performance and resolve technical issues
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Stay informed on the latest trends and advancements in mobile development
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Candidate must be a U.S. citizen and provide proof of citizenship; if selected
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in mobile application development with a strong portfolio of successful apps on both iOS and Android platforms
• Proficiency in frameworks like React Native, Flutter, or native development using Swift (iOS) and Kotlin/Java (Android)
• Deep understanding of mobile application architecture, including MVC, MVVM, and Clean Architecture
• Solid understanding of state management, navigation, and mobile app architecture
• Expertise in version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and implementing mobile security best practices
• Proven ability to lead development teams
• Capability to align mobile application strategy with business objectives and user needs
• Ability to anticipate industry trends and integrate emerging technologies (e.g., AR/VR, AI/ML)
