Summary

We are seeking a skilled Estimator/Project Manager to join our fast growing restoration division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and project estimation related to fire, water, flood damage, and mold remediation and mitigation along with expertise in utilizing Xactimate software. This role involves overseeing the estimating process, ensuring accurate cost assessments, and managing contracts while collaborating closely with project managers and clients to deliver successful projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the estimating team in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for mitigation, remediation and build-back projects.
  • Utilize software tools like Xactimate and Mitigate for efficient project estimation and bid preparation.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop comprehensive project plans, ensuring alignment between estimates and project scope.
  • Monitor ongoing projects to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and implement corrective measures as necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing strategies, and best practices in water and fire mitigation, mold restoration and construction management.
  • Prepare detailed reports on estimating activities, providing insights for future projects.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in estimating within the mitigation, restoration and construction industries, with a focus on project management.
  • Proficiency in using estimating software such as Xactimate.
  • Ability to be on call.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, negotiation techniques, and cost control measures.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • A degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; relevant experience will be considered.
