Responsibilities
As a Mining Project Planning Engineer, your role revolves around reliably executing integrated planning for mining projects and detailed planning of activities from feasibility studies to completion. This is done to optimize resources, costs, and project timelines:
- Conduct project construction planning.
- Efficiently utilize Primavera P6 and MS Project planning software.
- Input data, logic, WBS, EPS, resources, and other aspects into the planning tool.
- Ensure rigorous monitoring of work progress based on established plans.
- Utilize resource leveling tools and identify practical potential solutions.
- Produce reports in P6, MS Project, and Excel as required.
- Generate progress reports for monthly reports.
- Produce "2-week look ahead" schedules to target short-term activities.
- Establish performance indices and monitor them.
- Attend coordination meetings and site meetings.
- Conduct weekly on-site meetings with superintendents, analyzing critical paths and S-curves, and proposing solutions to address potential delays.
Required Skills
- Profound knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Experience with 3D software. CAD software (Surpac, Datamine, Minesite).
- Good understanding of the construction industry.
- Interface management.
- Project management.
- Organization and prioritization skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities.
- Familiarity with the EPCM and/or EPC environment.
Academic Profile
Bachelor's degree in Mineral Engineering.
Professional Experience
Internships or initial experience in a similar project engineering-oriented role.
Position based in the Marrakech region.
