Leading Millwork and Casework contractor seeking to cover a Full Time Estimator position.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Millwork Estimator in Springfield, VA, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Millwork Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates for millwork projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation. Daily tasks include collaborating with project managers and clients to clarify project requirements, sourcing materials, creating cost estimates, material take-offs and ensuring accuracy in budgeting. Additionally, the Estimator will evaluate project timelines, manage bid proposals, and maintain records of all estimates. The Estimator must be able to break down complex projects and schedule/coordinate the required work with our Engineering and Manufacturing team.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications
• Experience with cost estimation and budgeting in millwork projects of different kinds
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for client and team interactions
• Attention to detail, and excellent organizational and negotiation skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a hybrid team
• Strong knowledge of AWI industry standards and materials used in millwork is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred
